So with our latest RoyalDice version, we've made cool improvements to the game's graphics and animations. No worries, there haven’t been any changes made to the game rules or usable features. Our aim has been instead to provide such an experience that’s as close to real cups and dice as possible!
Crystal-clear full-screen mode
When playing RoyalDice in full-screen mode, you will find that we sharpened the graphics, smoothed edges and ensured you see the game as it was meant to be seen, regardless of your screen.
Dice that come to life
GamePoint games are all about attention to detail. When you throw your dice, you will notice that they behave much more realistically thanks to updated animation.
Tidy playing field
So that you won’t miss any of the excitement during a RoyalDice round, now the cup and dice don’t overlap and end up obstructing the playing field. This better overview additionally helps you make better-informed decisions about your next moves.
New loading screens
You can now see new loading screens when you enter RoyalDice, showing you how the game is getting ready for you to play! You'll also notice a friendly reminder that you can also enjoy RoyalDice on your iPad and take it wherever you go.

UPDATE
We really appreciate players giving constructive feedback that can lead to improvements. We heard you and the following changes have been made just a few short hours after we've released this update:
- We've improved animation of the cup as you shake it each turn. The length of the animation hasn't changed, but it now looks much more natural.
- When you or your opponent rolled a RoyalDice, the notification screen has been shortened so you can get ready for your next turn sooner.
- The arrow on your gamefield that indicates your turn has been made a bit smaller so your field of vision is improved.
- The animation on this arrow as well is also slowed down and makes your more relaxed during your turn.
- The font on the score card was darkened, making it easier to read.
- The updated button to leave the game has been made blue.
Thanks to your feedback, we've been able to make improvements to this new version of RoyalDice which we hope you'll grow to love. Try it out in fullscreen mode to really see the fresh graphics!
I appreciate your feedback and we'll be investigating about the size of the text within the score card. You'll notice that the card and the boxes themselves are same size, but players have indeed pointed out the size of the text and we hear you. In the meantime, try the game in full screen. You'll also appreciate the improved graphics better that way too.
As mentioned in the blog text, we had players experiencing the game differently due to different resolutions, systems, monitors, etc. So this update was done in the spirit that everyone should enjoy the same nice sharp graphics, regardless of these things. You really see the difference in full screen mode for example. If you have any specific detail we can address, we'd appreciate the constructive feedback that can lead to a fix. This updated version is here to stay, but we're still working on adjusting and improving
ok here's my input:
crystal clear full screen - for the game section, it looks good. But the graphics on the player list and the smileys are not clear.
dice that come to life - they look great! love em
tidy playing field - never experienced an overlay of cup vs dice, so n/a.
However, the wand button will be the issue for me. too close to play/throw button. Never have liked any other button next to throw/play buttons. I can quarantee that i will be clicking on that button and will groan when i do. would like to see that button up top between the jp amount and player name.. or next to the auto button.
new loading screens - found that it took longer to load. at least for now anyways.
not sure what the screen showing all the players pictures is for.
graphics on the cards -- difficulty reading cards. not sure if it optical illusion or size have changed, but everthing seems smaller and harder to read. I had to increase my screen size to read it comfortably. softer colors on the card make me have to look closer to ensure i am marking correct boxes. so as for the new cards.. I find i am working harder at marking my scores, instead of it being easier.
Overall changes are nice!!! but I can see need some tweaking, improvements. :)

We're looking into addressing the visual issues now that a lot of the technical issues are out of the way (the cup animation for example was improved, the RD notification overstaying its welcome, etc.) We're working what we can to make sure this new version looks and keeps awesome for a long time.

I'm sorry but I DO NOT like the changes made!!! The way the dice roll especially! Who shakes the cup 1 and half times then rolls in real life? no one I know. I much prefer the old way, because you actually could change when and how hard the dice would roll. Now you might as well put it on auto and let the game play. I'm really disappointed. Could there be an option in settings set so we cam choose the roll style???
Also the score card seemed harder to read. Nothing I'm sure just getting used to would cure, but just saying......
Please bring back the old roll style!!!! I dont think I can continue playing the way it is now.

I will not continue to play here if it remains like this I will play elsewhere. I was so addicted to the game I exchanged real money for fake money that can never be cashed out?? Thats saying something. But I never felt cheated because I loved the game so much. WEll that love was tragically and unneccessarily crushed today and if GP wants any more of my money they will change it back!!
The animation of the cup and the dice was something that we've been adjusting since the new update. Shortly after the update was released, one of the first things we've addressed on the spot was the cup animation due to feedback.
And regarding the score card, the size of the card and the boxes themselves are actually the same. So where we can be working is getting the font of the scores darker and clearer. Try the game in full screen mode in the meantime! You'll really get to see the sharpness of the new graphics like the dice and cup themselves.
Another issue: I get disturbed when a popup screen appears in the Chat field.
While the size of the card and boxes themselves actually haven't changed at all, we can keep working on making the contents within scorecard as clear as possible.
And to what popup are you referring to? The notification when you get a RoyalDice?
What exactly needs to be bigger or made brighter? Since other people are commenting on specific elements that we can investigate and possible work on, it's really helpful when feedback is as detailed as possible.
We have indeed been making changes directly based on feedback, even after the update. So that's good proof that when we deliver something, it's not necessarily "the way it is going to be." For example, the way it was at first, was the RoyalDice animation hanging around too long and thus players had valid concerns that it was cutting into their turn. So within a few hours, we tweaked it and vastly shortened it.
Updates in general are things that we keep, but that doesn't mean we cannot further improve and adjust as we go along. We definitely want to always be improving and innovating our games and change can be amazing (like the change to have the Coin gift every 3 hours instead of 24 hours, riiiight?
Cards are too small, dices are rolling slower and don't even look like dice anymore.
It's terrible. Why change something that's already good??
