Just to clarify what Momorial Day is. It is to Honor Our Fallen Soldiers not the Soldiers who are serving too. It offends them when they get honored on this day. They are honored on Veterians Day. So please lets honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and their families today. Thank you!

It's indeed about the ultimate sacrifice! But since a lot of men & women in the armed forces also get shore leave this weekend, we can take the occasion (which shouldn't ever be limited to a holiday, right?) to thank them for their service.
