Can I access GamePoint with my Mac computer?
Yes you can! Currently Mac computers running the Snow Leopard operating system do support the latest version of Java, but might cause issues after several plays. You are able to access the game by ignoring the java notification at the beginning of the game.
When you experience in-game problems we can offer two solutions:
Solution 1. If you have issues with regards to playing our games on your Mac computer close off your browser completely using command + q and start it again. This might solve your problem.
Solution 2. You can simulate Windows by installing VMWare or another Windows emulator on your Mac, then install the latest Java version and subsequently start playing your game of choice.
We do realize the inconvenience this might cause you and we do hope that in future Java will properly support Mac computers.

What do I do when I disconnect from a game?
Although we don't have the details of your system or your internet connection, there are some things that you can do to improve the gameplay on your end. If you've already cleared your browser's cache and updated your Java, there are several additional steps you can take to improve game play experience.
A wired connection usually gives you a more stable connection.
Make sure all other applications or browsers are closed to ensure a stable connection
Always make sure you place your router as close to your computer as possible. If your router is far away you lose a lot of connection speed.
Make sure you are the only computer using your internet (more users on you internet will cause the speed to drop).
Downloading programs or music/video can greatly affect your connection speed.
We recommend you reload the page regularly between games since some router or firewalls auto reload after a certain time. If you are in game this will cause a disconnect. Reloading the page yourself when you are out of a game will prevent this.

Reloading the page yourself when you are out of a game will prevent this. Sometimes disconnections can be caused by a technical issue with the GamePoint servers. This usually means that all players are experiencing connection problems at once. In cases like these GamePoint always returns stake. Check for the GamePoint announcements on the GamePoint Blog or in game chat.
The reconnect system
The reconnection system is designed for players with less stable internet connections to make their experience more enjoyable. What is does is this; instead of disconnecting you from your game when you connection temporarily drops, it shows you the reconnect screen with the message lost connection.
When your internet connection regains speed within 30 seconds it reconnects you to your game. This will prevent disconnections for players that experience a very short drop in connection speed sometimes. When your connection is low for more than 30 seconds it will reconnect you to the lobby and the other players are able to continue the game. If the connection speed is slow much longer it is possible you are unable to reconnect. When you see the screen with the message connection restored your connection speed has been restored.
How can I check if I have been reimbursed?
When players get disconnected due to technical issues at GamePoint stake will be reimbursed for all disconnected games. Players can easily check is they received their reimbursement by following these steps:
Step 1: Open the GamePoint wallet Step 2: Open the games tab Step 3: Browse through the games When coins are reimbursed the games are displayed as 'solved' in the wallet followed by +0.00. This indicates that stake has been returned. If you click on the solves game you will find more information. For example: You were disconnected during a game with 50 coin stake. The wallet will display that you lost that game and deduct - 50.00 coins. When coins are reimbursed you will see solved game +0.00. This is your -50.00 game with 50.00 coins reimbursed making the total loss 0. Note: Winnings that are reimbursed are displayed under the gift tab.
