As a company, GamePoint BV (GP, we or us) recognizes the importance of protecting certain information collected from users. Therefore, GP has adopted a company wide privacy policy that guides how we will ensure that the privacy of our on-line visitors and players is respected

 

Please note that the use of, or access to, some of our on-line services will require you to provide us with personal information, which may include (without limitation) your name, home address, phone number, credit card number, and/or e-mail address (collectively referred to herein as personal information). This Privacy Policy details how we safeguard the privacy of our on-line visitors and does not apply to information that may be collected by GP off-line. Whenever you voluntarily disclose any personal information through the use of our on-line services, this Privacy Policy does not apply to you anymore with regard to the disclosed information. This means you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of any account ID or password you use to register, and you should always be careful and responsible whenever disclosing information online. Understand that GP employees will never request your password.  

Online Chat Rooms and Profiles
You may choose to disclose information, including personal information, about yourself in our online chat rooms, message boards, user profiles for public view or in similar forums on our sites(Public places). Information that you disclose in any of these Public places is public information, and there is no expectation of privacy or confidentiality there. You should be aware that any personally identifiable information you submit there can be read, collected, or used by other users of these Public places, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. GP is not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in these Public places. Please see our Terms of Service on this point and for other guidelines about posting content on our web sites.  

By accepting this Privacy Policy you agree that GP is eligible to use any personal information to improve its on-line services, for internal marketing studies, or simply to collect demographic information about its users. GP will not share personal information with any third-party unless the user agrees to such disclosure in advance. In such event, such partners will be prohibited from disclosing such information or using such information except for the limited purposes for which such users agree to share such information.  

Furthermore, third-party web sites and companies with links to and from our on-line services may collect personally identifiable information about users. You should be aware that these third-party web sites or links may have their own information collection practices and privacy policies. We do not control the privacy policies of third parties that have on-line services linked to our on-line services. If you click on a third-party advertisement or link, the privacy policies of the third-party web site that you link to will govern the use of your information by that web sites operator. This Privacy Policy does not extend to these external on-line services and companies. Please refer directly to these companies and on-line services regarding their privacy policies. We assume no responsibility or liability for the actions of such third parties with respect to their use of your information or otherwise. Accordingly, please make sure you are aware of and comfortable with the privacy policies of any third-party on-line services to which you follow a link.  

We reserve the right to disclose your personal information as required by law or in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing such information is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against you if you are violating the Terms of Use or Code of Conduct for a GP on-line service or product, or may be causing injury to or interference (intentionally or unintentionally) with our rights or property, other users of a GP on-line service or product, or anyone else who could be harmed by your activities.

 

As with any business, your personal information is also an asset of GP and will become part of our normal business records. As such, we may also disclose your personal information to a third party if we decide to sell a line of business to that third party, so you can continue to receive service and information in connection with that line of business with as little disruption as possible. Similarly, in the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or other similar event, your personal information may be transferred to GP's successor or assign.  

GP may occasionally hire other companies to provide limited services on our behalf, including packaging, mailing and delivering purchases, answering customer questions about products or services, sending postal mail, providing billing and collection services, and processing event registration. We will only provide these companies the information reasonably required to perform the service, and they will be prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.

 

You can correct or update your account information at any time by logging on our site and navigating to My Account. Should you be unable to log in contact the support helpdesk at [email protected]. To request removal of your information, please send us a written request (GamePoint International Administration, Postal Box 18552, 2502 EN, the Hague) and be sure to include in your message the same user name, password, and email address that you submitted to us when registering. We may still retain your information in our files however, to resolve disputes, enforce our user agreement, and due to technical and legal requirements and constraints related to the security, integrity and operation of our websites.

 

Cookies are a feature of your Web browser that allows Web sites to transfer bits of information to your computer for record-keeping purposes. A cookie stored on your computer can be used to "remember" things like your password, or that you have already registered. This allows us to speed up your future activities, saving the time you would normally spend entering information such as your password or registration. In addition, GP may use cookies to retrieve user information for promotional, marketing, or security purposes.

 

An Internet protocol ("IP") address is the unique number assigned to your server or Internet Service Provider ("ISP"). GP may track such IP addresses for system administration, to report aggregate information, site tracking, or to prevent our servers from being abused.

 

Although we will use reasonable efforts to safeguard the privacy of your information, transmissions on the Internet cannot be made absolutely secure. Accordingly, we assume no responsibility or liability for disclosure of any of your information due to errors in transmission, unauthorized third-party access or other causes beyond our reasonable control.

 

This privacy policy does not apply to on-line job applications. However we ensure you that we will be handling any information from your resume with care. Such information will only be used for the purpose of accepting and evaluating your submission for a job with GP.

 

For persons in European Union countries, as used herein, terms such as personal information refer to personal data as defined by the Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 October 1995.

 

This policy is current as of its last revision date indicated above. However, please note that this policy may be amended from time to time to reflect changes and additions to the Privacy Policy. Please check back for the most current version before relying on any of the provisions in this Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the GP products and on-line sites will constitute your acceptance of any and all changes made to the Privacy Policy.
